COMMAND AND CONQUER: the original. C&C soundtrack probably has the edge over the SF2 soundtrack.

Greatest game to date… eh I dunno about that, Megaman 2 holds that title, but as far as arcades go, SF2 was a HUGE hit. Back in those days the arcade was THE place because the home consoles could not compare… now adays, the Arcades cant compare to the home consoles.

Games that I remember as being successful arcades include Daytona, Cruis N USA, Mortal Kombat, Dangeons and Dragons (a 4-player beat ‘em up), Captain Commando, King Of Fighters, Samuray Shodown, Fatal Fury (and other SNK games), Virtua Fighter, and others, but NOTHING like this one here…

No doubt. ST2 was completely groundbreaking. There was never a game that could equal the amount of people this game could just waiting to have a chance of playing it. I remember very well the time this game was released. There was NEVER the same event inside arcades again. ST4 is great but its more of an increment than it is a revolution of it all. ST2 is, overall, Capcom’s greatest game to date. Only games like Resident Evil 4 and Final Fight could ever have any hope of coming any close to it.

There will NEVER be an as much exciting of a time as the 80’s and the beginning of 90’s for gamers. The sensation you had when heading towards an arcade to play this landmark of a game (and so many others) was undescribable. Videogames were still a new and evern improving thing. What an exciting time to be a kid. Incredible! Now everything is so padronized, its sick. I wish I could go back to those times… I surely miss aST2 arcade and all those sincere friends…

Any post SF2 Capcom fighting game kicks ass……IMO SF2:CE is the best one ever, but again, everyone has their own opinion.
